Description - Hostel

What makes the hostel unique is that each room is hand-painted with a marvellous ceiling and wall mural by Michaela Steinhauser,. There’s the room which has the deep, swirling Tsunami; another room which features the scorching desert of Dalil; a third room which offers a view of the mysterious and relaxing Calypso island; or the room that depicts the holy, powerful mountain of Olympus and its gods and goddesses. The other rooms offer a delightful portrayal of nature, such as the bright field of Girasoles, a wonderfully captured Sunset, the butterfly and geisha Papillon room, and the glowing Vanilla Sky.

Consists of four buildings.
One has the reception area with confortable living room with a library, table games, a pool table in the center, tv and dvd , a kitchen for the use of everyone, tables w/ chairs, 2 computers with Internet Access (slow connection), WIFI within that area. Two cabins hold 6 rooms on the ground floor for 3 people each (a bunk bed queen size at the bottom and single on the top), and 6 rooms for 4 people each (2 bunk beds). Three Dorms at the back , for 6 people each.
GREEN CAMPING SITE. A cafeteria . A Massage room with jacuzzi.
Building a mini golf and a climbing wall.

Neighborhood

Hemmed in by luxuriant green peaks, blessed with steaming thermal baths and adorned by a beautiful waterfall, Baños is one of Ecuador’s most enticing and popular tourist destinations. Ecuadorians and foreigners alike flock to this idyllically set town to hike, soak in the baths, ride mountain bikes, zip around on rented quad-runners, volcano-watch, party and break their molars on the town’s famous milcocha (taffy). Touristy as it is, it’s a wonderful place to hang out for a few days, complementing outdoor-activity days with excellent dining out.

Baños is also the gateway town into the jungle via Puyo and Misahuallí. East of Baños, the road drops spectacularly, and exceptional views of the upper Amazon Basin stretch out below. They’re best taken in over the handlebars of a mountain bike, which you can rent in town for the downhill ride.
For the fearless, Baños offers bridge jumping, waterfall cascading, and rock climbing. There is also bike riding, horse back riding, kayaking, canoeing, camping and the list goes on... Baños is paradise for outdoor people, and there are an infinite amount of things to do during your stay. Most importantly, remember to bring a camera! You will never want to forget this beautiful picturesque town. Although Baños is known for its landscape, the town does offer another kind of attraction, the Basilica de la Reina del Rosario de Agua Santa. The basilica is in the center plaza of Los Baños and it is has a significant presence because it houses illustrations of the miracles performed by the town´s Patron Saint, The Virgin of the Holy Water. Every October, the town has a celebration in honor of the Saint, and many people flock to particpate in the festivities.
